A MEDA Community Review is an in-depth peer assessment designed to help communities create a strategic game plan for economic development. Through the process, experienced economic developers immerse themselves in a community, learn about its strengths and challenges, and provide actionable recommendations to support long-term growth and success.

MEDA is currently conducting a Community Review in East Helena. The review brings together economic development professionals from across Montana to engage with local leaders, businesses, and community stakeholders to better understand East Helena’s opportunities and priorities for future growth.

A population of fewer than 10,000 people.
Completed Reimagining Rural programs. Exceptions apply if your community can demonstrate the capacity to commit to the review process.
A Phase 2 action plan showcasing your commitment to development.
